Day 1:

DEPART Chicago

Our journey begins as we depart on our flights to Mexico City. Upon arrival at Mexico City airport, we will meet our tour guide and bus driver welcoming us to Mexico. After loading our luggage, we will take the bus and drive to our hotel in Puebla for our first dinner and overnight in Mexico.

Day 2:

After breakfast, we drive to Ocotlan to visit the pilgrimage Church and see the image of our Lady of Ocotlan, where an apparition to Juan Diego in 1541 miraculously burned into the trunk of an oak tree. Then we will return to Puebla and visit the Monastery of Santo Domingo with the beautiful Dome of the Rosary Chapel and Puebla Cathedral dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. Lastly, we take a leisurely walk in the Parian Market before going to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:

We depart our hotel and drive towards Cholula to visit XVI Century San Gabriel Monastery. Afterward, we enjoy a panoramic tour of the city of Cholula, including a visit to two fantastic ultra-Mexican baroque Churches of Santa Maria Tonantzintla and San Francisco Acatepec. In the afternoon, we drive to Taxco, the country’s mining capital with its narrow, cobblestone streets. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4:

After breakfast, we take taxis to downtown Taxco (upper town) to visit the town center and the Church of Santa Prisca. Then we take some time for shopping before driving towards Xochimilco, where we enjoy a boat ride with lunch and entertainment of Mariachi music. Finally, we head to our Hotel in Mexico City for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:

This morning we drive to Teotihuacan, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in Mexico. Teotihuacan was the most important city in North America around 55AD when its population was an estimated 200,000 people. We will be amazed by the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and the mile-long Avenue of the Dead framed by countless monumental structures. After lunch (not included), we will drive to the Shrine of Guadalupe for prayers and Mass. Lastly, we return to our hotel for our farewell dinner.

Day 6:

Today marks the end of our service as we transfer to Mexico city airport to take our flight back to Chicago.
